The rest of my coasters from the coaster show. It’s still up at Squishface for the next few days.
Our Squishface Coaster Show was sponsored by Micador who also supplied us with a bunch of art supplies.
One pack of markers had “Mega Penarelli” written on it and I just had to roll with it.
A selection of coasters I drew on for the Squishface Coaster Show.
Guys!
The Coaster Show opening was fantastic! There’s 251 pieces in the exhibition!
More photos of it and you and the coasters soon. Also, our judges will pick some favourites shortly, and we’ll try to make a list of everyone involved (tricky, ‘cause not all of you put your names on them).
Meantime, just check out the whole collection! The goal was to get as many friends of Squishface up there as possible, and you did a great job. Thanks to you, and to our good sponsors, Micador, for supplying us with the materials you used to make ‘em!
The show will be up ‘til the end of October, so come visit if you want to check all this stuff out! And please let us know if you want to take your coaster/s home afterwards.
This is how I spent a lot of yesterday. I lost count of how many coasters I did but it’s more than 20.
Howdy all!!!! As some of you might know, we here at Squishface Studios will be holding our first exhibition on August 25, Saturday, 2 pm onwards. It will be held at our studio, 309 Victoria Street Brunswick! Mark the dates on your calendar as it’s going to be a fun… and dare I say it… a totally “bitchin” day!
Now, the theme of our Exhibition is “Bitchin” and however we may interpret that. Essentially it just means awesomeness! The pics above just shows a section of the art currently being worked on. You’ll all have to come pass Squishface Studios on the day to check out the amazing, the devious, the plain shocking and whatever else art, we just happen to come up with!
Canson are also sponsoring our show! They’ve been great to provide us with papers, mount boards and schminke water colours. Very cool, very cool indeed! Please check out their links as they have cool competitions all the time and their prizes are pretty sweet.
Keep coming back here to check up on our progress as we’ll be updating where we are at!
Dig my tough demon guy! You’ll never guess what he is riding (it’s dragon).
It’s been great having us all work on the same thing and being able to talk through my piece as I draw it. It would definitely be a lesser piece if I didn’t have feedback and the Canson supplies to play around with.
Everybody is bringing their Bitchin-est game to this.
David’s mostly been tearing through his Bret Braddock strips to get the new book done for the Caravan of Comics. Here’s what’s on/around his desk, Braddock and otherwise.
Sharing mainly because that Brunswick guy made me laff.
I’ll be house-sitting Squishface Studios while Ben and David are on the Caravan of Comics so pop in if you want to see me in a rush to draw monsters for an exhibition happening next month.
